Health Insurance Cover?
With most health insurance companies, the Oska Pulse comes under the category of "Aids for Recovery". However, Oska Pulse is approved by TGA to be listed on the Australia Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG #369331) as a Medical Device Class 2A, designed for reducing inflammation and to be used alone, or as a supplement therapy for the improved healing of existing conditions, including the treatment of osteo-articular conditions. i.e. arthritis.
If your health fund is not listed below, by providing the information above, or producing a recommendation from your health professional i.e. GP or Physiotherapist etc. you may find that you are entitled to a rebate.

HIF may pay benefits towards Pulse Electro-magnetic Field (PEMF) pain management devices that are approved via the Therapeutics Good Administration (TGA) on selected Extras policies.
Effective 1 August 2021, Members on Super Options and Premium Options can claim for a PEMF Device.
HIF will pay a benefit of 75% of the cost, up to a maximum of $200.00.
A member 10% discount applies to all HIF members, however in order to receive a benefit on PEMF devices you must hold Super Options or Premium Options to be eligible for External Prosthesis benefits.

It appears HBF may have discontinued cover of medical devices on new insurance covers. However, if you are an existing member, you may still be eligible for a rebate. Best to check with HBF if you're unsure.
