The science of OSKA Pulse
'A Pain-Free World' - unfortunately doesn't exist.
So how can we live with less pain?
Understand your body:
Scientists estimate the average human body is comprised of around 37 trillion cells and roughly 200 different types? Muscle, cartilage, bone, and skin cells are the most recognised and made of various sub-cell types. You may not have heard of many, but they all consist of tiny packages containing minute ‘power plants’ requiring energy to exist. You can see this in the image of a typical human or animal cell on the right.
See more in the video below.
Our bodies are in fact, electro-chemical factories.
Roughly three hundred million cells in your body die every minute! But this is a natural process in which the body replaces old or broken cells with new ones. Just like the batteries in your torch, when they wear out, they need to be replaced or re-charged.
Apart from the food we eat, the chemical action generated by movement or exercise creates the electro-chemical activity required to re-generate these damaged or dead cells.
This electro-chemical activity all happens naturally until we suffer from injury or, with encroaching age, degenerative issues such as osteoarthritis. When we can’t or don’t exercise due to pain, things only get worse and we end up taking pain killer medication; ok for short term but taken for many months can result in damage to liver or kidneys and even drug dependence.
The Oska Pulse PEMF device is a drug-free option in a wearable medical device designed in Western Australia by Medic Technology International. Little more than the size of a bar of soap and worn over clothing, it uses specially designed pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) technology to replicate the body’s natural electrical energy, speeding cell recovery and getting to the cause of pain.
Your journey of recovery and life with less pain is possible because of the
Sequential Treatment Protocol unique to the OSKA Pulse
The OSKA Pulse PEMF device is designed to speed recovery from injury and degenerative conditions, including osteoarthritis. Its treatment protocols encourage cellular regeneration, thus speeding recovery and reducing pain associated with an injury or degenerative disease. OSKA Pulse can be used alongside traditional medication. To date, there are no listed side effects from using PEMF treatment.
See the videos on our home page that give an overview of how Oska Pulse works.
OSKA Pulse treatment protocols use a unique delivery method called “Sequential Treatment Protocol” and includes four programs recognised for their natural effectiveness in load-bearing tissue. The waveforms and frequency structures used by the OSKA Pulse correspond to the following:
- Angio or Angiogenesis corresponds with the first phase of biological repair and is the physiological process through which new blood vessels form from pre-existing vessels and also the term used to describe capillary arcade; and dilation of capillaries. Apart from stimulating the lymph system, this helps provide more oxygen and nutrients to the area being treated. Great for treating inflammation, bruising, varicose veins etc.
- Osseous: (Bone, consisting of bone, or resembling bone) relates to the “remodelling” phase of biological repair. This treatment phase is designed to speed the repair of bone fractures, non-union issues, and improve bone density.
- Chondro or Chondrogenesis is the process by which cartilage is developed. This treatment protocol is beneficial in promoting the proteoglycan extra-cellular matrix found in connective tissue and cartilage.
- Pain relief: Whilst long term pain relief is affected through recovery, there is a need to deal with the effects of pain as soon as possible. While using pain-blocking devices such as TENS is not recommended for obvious reasons, we have introduced the Pain Reduction signal to assist in pain relief. So that our philosophy is better understood, OSKA Pulse puts the fire out rather than just turning off the alarm (as a TENS device typically does).
